What is the Alone gear list?

Every contestant on Alone selects ten items from a fixed, producer-approved list. Clothing (seven articles plus footwear), safety gear, and the filming kit are separate — they do not count against the ten. Multi-tools, firearms, freeze-dried food, and modern comms are banned. Item categories include cutting, fire, cordage, shelter, cook, fishing, hunting, food, sharpening, and other. The tables below aggregate the actual picks logged across seasons — no speculation.

Alone gear list — FAQ

How many items can Alone contestants bring?
Contestants select 10 items from a fixed, producer-approved list. Clothing (seven items plus footwear), a filming kit, and mandatory safety gear are separate and do not count against the 10.
What is the most common item on Alone?
A ferro rod is the single most common Alone pick — it appears on virtually every loadout across all seasons. Sleeping bag, fishing line and hooks, paracord, saw, axe, and a large pot round out the near-universal picks.
What gear did the Alone winners bring?
Every winner brings a large pot, a real saw, a ferro rod, a fixed-blade knife, cordage (paracord or bank line), a gill net or trapping wire, and a heavy sleeping bag. Discretionary slots go to a bow, an axe, or extra fishing tackle depending on the location.
Where can I compare gear across all seasons?
The full loadout table below is filterable by season, category, winner status, and free text — so you can compare, for example, every bow across seasons or every gill net used at Great Slave Lake.
