Wild 10 Basecamp exists to make getting outside easier without sanding off the challenge that makes it worthwhile. We bring trip planning, outdoor clothing and gear research, practical skills, safety, and adventure inspiration together in one useful place.
Not everyone wants to disappear beside a frozen lake for seventy days. Most of us would settle for a great weekend, a good fire, and socks that remain dry. We respect both ambitions.
The Spark
When the Wild Called Louder
The survival series Alone did more than entertain us. It put a match to an old instinct. Watching skilled people meet cold, hunger, weather, and silence with a handful of carefully chosen tools reminded us how magnetic the wild becomes when the noise stops.
It rekindled our respect for preparation, judgment, self-reliance, and the natural world. It also made the couch feel suspiciously comfortable.
That spark became Wild 10 Basecamp: a place for people who feel the same pull but would prefer to answer it with a plan, the right gear, and considerably less bark in their diet.
